Special Education Director

The Newburg R-2 School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Director/Process Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. The Director/Coordinator duties and responsibilities include maintaining District Compliance in Special Education, oversight of instruction of prek-12 Special Education Services, Special Education budgetary compliance, collaboration with building principals and regular education staff, serve as liaison between the District and DESE on items related to Special Education, management of student 504 Accommodation plans, evaluation of all Special Education Personnel in partnership with the principals, coordination of all personnel associated with assistive services, knowledge of inclusive practices, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. 

The Director will work with the Superintendant on Special Education Finance. The candidate must be qualified with appropriate certifiactions. EOE

Bookkeeper

The Newburg R-II School District is accepting applications for a District Bookkeeper for the 2024-25 school year. This position shall remain open until filled.

Performance Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Maintaining complete and systematic records for all financial transactions of the district including accounts payable. 
  • Preparing financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect the financial condition of the district. 
  • Preparing payroll including withholding, social security, and tax returns. 
  • Preparing annual state records, grant applications and final reports, and information needed for annual audit. 
  • Timely submission of MOSIS Core Data. 

Terms of employment: Twelve months. 

Salary to be determined by the salary schedule and experience.  

Qualifications: high-school diploma with proficiency in bookkeeping and clerical.

The custodial position is a full-time, 250-day/8 hour per day position, and regular duty hours will be afternoon and evenings with daytime hours during the summer. Substitute Custodian

The Newburg R-II School District is seeking applicants for a substitute custodian, which may lead to a full time position.  Applicants must be able to clean all areas of the buildings, inside and out, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.  Apply in person at 701 Wolf Pride Dr., Newburg. EOE
