The Newburg School Board is comprised of 7 elected members, each serving a 3 year term. Elections are held every year on the first Tuesday in April.
An individual must be a registered voter in order to vote in a school election. In order to vote, a person must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, must be a citizen of the United States, and must reside in the School District thirty (30) days.
Notice of Board Vacancy
The Newburg R-II School District is seeking applications for the current vacant position of the Board of Education. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position until April 2026 elections have been held and certified and a newly elected individual has been sworn-in to fill the remainder of this position’s term. Individuals interested must submit a Vacated Board Position Application to the Central Office by 4:00 PM on May 15, 2025. Applications are available online and at the Central Office.
