Jr. High ELA Teacher

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
- To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
- To motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
- To provide positive feedback and encouragement for students.
- To facilitate an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
- To implement a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
- To assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback regarding progress, and use the data to adjust instruction as needed.
- To perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.

rootED Advisor
The Newburg R-II School District seeks applications for a rootED Advisor for the 2025-2026 school year. The rootEd Advisor will be employed to proactively support high school students through each step of career exploration and postsecondary planning. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. This position will be part-time (0.5 FTE).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet one-on-one with each high school senior to help each student develop and succeed in their postsecondary plans.
- Build relationships with all high school students through regular meetings to help them with postsecondary planning.
- Monitor and document student progress related to postsecondary planning and key performance indicators.
- Refine and expand Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP) for all high school students that align with coursework and activities that help achieve personal career goals, postsecondary planning, and individual pathway options.
- Ensure that all seniors progress through each stage of the financial planning process, including FAFSA completion.
- Understand and help students navigate each step of the college, military, or career application process.
- Use data-driven case management strategies to increase postsecondary applications, FAFSA completion, and overall postsecondary planning and attainment—ensuring students graduate high school on a path toward career success and economic stability.
- Work closely with high school counselors, teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure a smooth transition to postsecondary success for high school graduates.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Comply with district policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including attending school-sponsored functions, serving on committees, and attending community events.

K-12 Music/Band Teacher
The Newburg R-II School District is seeking a dynamic K-12 music teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Our district has approximately 310 students in grades PreK-12. We operate on a 4 day school week.
Newburg is located in South Central Missouri approximately 10 miles west of Rolla on Interstate 44. It is a small, rural community with outstanding students and staff. We place great value on small class sizes throughout our district and benefit from a tremendously caring staff and faculty and a highly supportive school board and community.
