Board of Education

The Newburg School Board is comprised of 7 elected members, each serving a 3 year term. Elections are held every year on the first Tuesday in April.

An individual must be a registered voter in order to vote in a school election. In order to vote, a person must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, must be a citizen of the United States, and must reside in the School District thirty (30) days.


School Board Elections

The Newburg R-II School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board to file to be a candidate in the April 7, 2026, election. Interested persons may file at the superintendents offices located at 701 Wolf Pride Drive, Newburg, MO.

Filing will begin on December 09, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the school district’s central offices are closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the following holidays and breaks when the school district’s central offices are closed: December 22-29, 2025. Filing will end on December 30, 2025, from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

There are 3 positions available with three-year terms and 1 position for a two-year term.
