👨‍👩‍👧 Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Our mission is simple- to provide the information, support, and encouragement that parents need to help their children develop optimally during those crucial early years.

Participation in the PAT program shows your dedication to your child’s development and learning journey.

What You Can Expect

As a participant, you’ll receive personalized guidance and support from our certified Parent Educator. Here’s what the program offers:

  • We will inform you of what you can reasonably expect of your child at each stage of development.
  • We will help you become a keen observer of your child’s growth and progress.
  • We will help you find joy in play, showing you fun, age-appropriate activities and materials.
  • We will help you become your child’s best teacher!

Your Role as a Parent

Parents play many roles in a child’s life. Here are three key roles that the PAT program helps nurture:

  • Designer: You provide materials and experiences that encourage your child’s curiosity and problem-solving skills.
  • Consultant: You help your child explore their world and gain independence while supporting their learning.
  • Authority: You set healthy boundaries for your child’s behavior, appropriate for their age and developmental level, while understanding their unique needs.

PEEP (Preschool Early Education Partnership)

The Preschool Early Education Partnership (PEEP) program brings together children with disabilities and their typically developing peers in an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Early childhood special education services are available for children ages three to five who have identified special needs. Peer models enhance learning by helping children with developmental delays practice social skills, build friendships, and learn empathy through daily interaction.

All PEEP students participate in hands-on activities that help them grow in confidence, cooperation, and readiness for kindergarten.

đź•’ Program Details

  • Both PEEP classes are now full-day programs!
  • Classes operate Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.
  • School bus routes are available for students who live along a route.
