Newburg High School Secretary
The Newburg R-II School District has an opening for High School Secretary for the 2026-2027 school year. Our district has approximately 300 students in grades PreK-12. We operate on a 4 day school week August through May. Applications may be downloaded on our website: Newburg Website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates a friendly and helpful environment for staff, students, parents, and patrons.

Understands, explains, and applies rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to school operations, programs, and services.

Works with the elementary secretary to maintain the school calendar of events
-
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and works cooperatively with staff to provide quality services to employees, students, and patrons of the district.

Oversees the establishment and maintenance of office procedures and record keeping systems.
-
Maintains confidentiality and unquestionable integrity.
-
Can prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines and take direction.

Can produce accurate work with frequent interruptions.
-
Schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences for the Principal as requested.

Order, receive, store, and maintain office supplies.
-
Enroll students and complete records requests
-
Provide first aid to ill and injured students, as necessary, in the absence of the School Nurse.

Completes special projects as assigned.

Helps coordinate classroom coverage as needed.

Attend/Complete District PD and training.
Custodian
The Newburg R-II School District is seeking applicants for the position of custodian. The custodial position is a full-time, 252 days/8 hour per day position, and regular duty hours will be afternoon and evenings with daytime hours during the summer. This position includes vacation days, paid health and life benefits, retirement (Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri), and personal days. Many other optional benefits are offered. The Newburg R-II School District is currently taking applications for bus drivers. Applicants must pass a background check, have or qualify for a CDL, Missouri Bus Operators Permit and have an “S” endorsement. Please apply in person at 701 Wolf Pride Drive. EOE

This position requires 60 hours of college credit and a sub certificate or other teaching certification.
