Our RootED Advisor provides one-on-one guidance for students as they prepare for life after high school.
They can assist with:

  • Exploring career pathways
  • College and trade school applications
  • Financial aid and scholarship searches
  • ACT/SAT and placement testing
  • Resume building and interview prep

๐Ÿ• Flex Program

The Flex program allows eligible students to design a schedule that fits their academic and career goals- balancing core coursework with vocational or college credit opportunities.
Talk with your counselor to learn if you qualify and to create a plan that supports your graduation requirements.


๐Ÿซ WCC (Waynesville Career Center)

Students have the opportunity to attend Waynesville Career Center (WCC) to gain hands-on experience in fields like:

  • Welding & Automotive Technology
  • Health Sciences
  • Culinary Arts
  • Computer Networking & Cybersecurity
  • Early Childhood Education

๐Ÿ” Dual Enrollment

Newburg High School partners with area colleges to allow students to earn college credit while completing high school requirements.
Benefits include:

  • Reduced tuition costs
  • Exposure to college-level coursework
  • Transferable credits to most Missouri colleges and universities

โž• A+ Program

The A+ Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance for eligible students attending Missouri community colleges or vocational/technical schools.
To qualify, students must:

  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Have 95% attendance or better
  • Perform 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring
  • Maintain good citizenship

๐Ÿ’ฐ FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

Every senior planning to attend college or vocational school should complete the FAFSA to qualify for grants, scholarships, and federal aid.

Key FAFSA Dates:

  • Opens: October 1 each year
  • Missouri priority deadline: February 1
