Pre-algebra will cover adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. Algebraic equations will be used to solve word problems. Other topics include: finding perimeter, circumference, area volume, and surface area, ratio, proportion, percent, integers, and rational numbers, graphing in the coordinate please, special triangles, and some geometry.
Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in Pre-Algebra or permission of teacher.
Algebra will include: variables, real numbers, solving first degree equations, word problems, simplifying polynomials, factoring, solving second degree equations, working with rational numbers, equations with two variables, and graphing.
Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in Algebra and Geometry or permission of teacher.
Algebra 2 will include: basic concepts of algebra, inequalities and proof, linear equations and functions, products and factors of polynomials, rational expressions, irrational and complex numbers, quadratic equations and functions, variation and polynomial equations, and analytical geometry.
Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in Algebra I or permission of teacher.
Note: Some very motivated math oriented students will take Algebra II and Geometry during the same year, but only by permission of teachers. Geometry teaches problem solving and applications of the following basic course objectives: lines and segments, angles, angles and perpendicular lines, proofs, parallel lines and planes, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, right triangles, circles, area of polygons and circles, volume and area, transformations in geometry and using coordinates.

Trigonometry includes the study of: exponents, using logarithms, natural logarithms, polar coordinates, coordinates and trigonometry; evaluating and applying trigonometric functions, identifies, sum and difference formulas, half angle formulas, triangle applications, circular functions, graphs of circular functions, inverse circular functions, and open sentences.
Prerequisite(s): Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Permission.
Math Analysis covers: Math inductions, sequence series, sigma notations, binomial theorem, bounds for real roots, Descartes rule of signs, complex numbers and limits, and determinate.
